The Greater Lansing Tourism Ambassador Program will be a certification program presented by the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau that serves to increase tourism by inspiring front-line hospitality employees and volunteers to work together to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience.

Team Lansing Goes Over the Edge!

On June 5, 2010, The Team Lansing Foundation held its inaugural Over the Edge Event. Over the Edge gave participants the opportunity to rappel down the 23-story Boji Tower in downtown Lansing.

The event met its goal of raising $60,000 to support the Team Lansing Foundation.

Regional Destination Development

We at the Greater Lansing Convention and
Visitors Bureau recognize that the unique
individuals that make up our community are
as big a part of our tourism appeal as our
attractions, hotels, shops and restaurants.

We are a hard-working, friendly and accepting community, with a solid framework focused on the future and grounded in our rich history. We spend our days living among the entrepreneurial spirit that makes our Capital Region what it is today. We are here to grow the seeds planted for this community by innovators like Ransom Eli Olds, pioneering botany professor William J. Beal and Michigan Governor William L. Greenly, who formally signed into law the act of the legislature officially making Lansing the State Capital.

Surrounded by the inheritance of these past great community leaders, one must ask, "What then is our legacy?"

For the GLCVB, our answer to this question is the Team Lansing Foundation. Please join us by making an investment in our area’s youth, helping drive the development of new and improved tourism attractions and by taking a lead role in moving Lansing forward.
